What is Literacy 44?
Literacy 44 is the student blogging community for the North Vancouver School District.
Blogs can be created for staff and students for teaching, learning, research, and administrative purposes.
The service is hosted by Edublogs Campus and powered by WordPress.
Powered by WordPress? What does that mean?
WordPress is one of the most widely-used and established blog engines, and is used by more than 200 million websites worldwide. Content can be imported from other services such as Blogger and TypePad, and also exported at any time.
Your Literacy 44 blog supports embedded content from YouTube, SlideShare, and virtually any other site that offers content with an embed code.
Themes and plugins allow you to customize your blog to reflect your preferences and personality.
How do I start a blog?
Currently Literacy 44 is operating as a pilot project. If you are interested in participating in the pilot, please contact Bryan Hughes at bhughes@nvsd44.bc.ca.
What are the Terms of Service?
Blogs hosted at Literacy 44 should be used for academic, educational, research or administrative use only. Please use a free blog service provider such as WordPress.com or Blogger for personal blogs.
