Jan Smith learns and teaches Gr. 6 in the Comox Valley. She loves being a generalist teacher because there are no limits to integration across the curriculum.. In the words of the perpetually optimistic, it’s all good.

She is working on a master’s degree in educational leadership, and enjoys unpacking ideas, looking for the essence and the next layer of questions. Most of her blog energy has gone into her class blog Huzzah! She is conducting action research on student engagement and blogging.

Join us as we Skype with Jan and chat about how she is using technology to enrich the learning experiences of her students. She has become a learner along with her students as they discover blogging, Skyping with professionals in the field and joining in the “Yes I Can” Science program. Jan will tell us how about the journey, what’s she learned along the way and how she might change things for future projects.
