This year, North Vancouver’s LAN parties are going global! At last night’s first LAN party of the 09/10 school year we staged one of our breakout sessions in Elluminate. Elluminate is virtual classroom software that is provided free to all BC educators by the Ministry of Education.

Announcing the session using Twitter, 15 North Vancouver teachers viewed Paul Curtis’ presentation, “Building a Web 2.0 Culture,” at Argyle Secondary and were joined in real-time by educators in places such as Arizona, Maine, and New York.
Moving the conversation to Elluminate makes it accessible to more people, and invites participation unhampered by geography. Follow us on Twitter for announcements of upcoming LAN sessions in Elluminate.
A full recording of last night’s session is available for real-time playback. Clicking the link below will launch Elluminate and replay the session.
